Obituary for Gerald E. McCrae
Gerald E. McCrae, 84, son of the late James and Velma McCrae, departed this life surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
He proudly served his country during the Korean War and was honorably discharged from the Army. Gerald worked for various casinos and retired from Showboat.
His life long passion was barbering which he did from his youth, mentoring many along the way including Lamont Jones who, along the way with Gerald, opened Philadelphia Hair Works in Egg Harbor City, NJ in 1995, Waldo Vidro, and Danny Martinez-owner and manager.
Gerald leaves to cherish his memory his dear wife, Monica; his son, Bruce Stanley (Alline); twin daughters, Trish Murray and Janiel Murray; ten grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 8th, at 11:00 am at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor, NJ.
Arrangements are entrusted to and written condolences may be sent to: Adams-Perfect.com.
