Williams, Sr., Tyrone - 78 of Pomona, NJ, passed away peacefully at home January 19, 2021. Tyrone was born and raised in Atlantic City, NJ where he met the love of his life, Patricia Fisher, and began their 61 year journey together. Following high school, he went into the Army and served in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home from the service Tyrone became a member of Atlantic City’s Local 350 Ironworkers Union for 29 years until his retirement. Upon retirement he began his second career: being the best PopPop ever, as he began to make wonderful memories with his grandchildren and family and enjoy his jazz music with all his free time. He is survived by: wife Patricia; two children: Tyrone Jr (Dawn), Octavia (Abdullah Sr.); two grandchildren: Amira and Abdullah Jr.; brothers and sister: Austin Johnson, Robert Lewis, Mary Lewis and William Lewis; a host of loving sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. At this time due to the nature of the environment, and at the family’s request services will be private. A gathering of family and friends will be announced at a later date.
