Obituary for Timothy Jay Williams

Timothy Jay Williams, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2019. Born on January 28, 1944, he grew up in the town of Scullville, New Jersey, later moving to English Creek in 1965. Tim was one of five siblings. He worked most of his life for his father, Gerald Williams, Sr. in the family business; Jerry Williams, Artesian Well Drilling. After retiring from the well drilling business, he later worked at Obsessions Jewelers in Somers Point. Tim enjoyed many good times playing pool, riding his motorcycle, fishing and going to flea markets collecting things he probably didn’t really need but enjoyed the hunt. He was always ready with a joke, even if it was one that left you shaking your head and saying, oh geez, Tim, that was really a bad one. Tim is predeceased by his father, Gerald Williams, Sr., his mother, Pearl Williams, sister Geraldine Williams, his brother, Gerald Williams, Jr. and his sister June Williams (Simpkins). He is survived by his three sons, Timothy Jay Williams, Jr. (Jennifer) of Keyport, N.J., Michael P. Williams (Anjeanette) of Absecon, N.J. and Geoffrey Williams (Idania) of Hammonton, N.J.. He is also survived by his longtime companion of 35 years, Linda Puterbaugh Coyle, his sister, Joyce Bolton, Atlantic City, his grandchildren, Victoria, Carter, Ryan, Graham and Sienna Williams, his nephews, Bobby Jetton, John Simpkins, Tim Hernandez, Antonio Bolton, David Vargas, Andres Rivera Bolton & niece Nitza Bolton. Also left to grieve are Janet Williams, Jackie Jetton, Robert Ryan, his cat Allie, many cousins and other relatives & friends. Services will be held by Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd., Northfield, N.J. on Wednesday, October 9th. A visitation will be held from 12-2 pm, with a service to follow at 2 pm.
