Obituary for Thelma Sonya Lopez (Ramos)
Thelma Sonya Lopez (Ramos) went home to be with the lord and her mother, Virginia Figueroa-Altreche, on February 26th 2024 at ARMC-City Division.
Thelma was born on September 17th, 1957 in Dorchester Maryland and graduated from Pleasantville High School, Class of 1978. She was formerly employed by various hotel/casinos in Atlantic City, NJ; Playboy/Atlantis, Trump Plaza, Tropicana, and Hilton as a House Keeper. Thelma, affectionately known as, Sonya, was hard but funny, stern, loving, and a very hard worker that loved her family endlessly and most importantly loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul.
Sonya leaves behind to cherish her fond memories her daughters, Inez Ruiz (Darryl) and Virginia Ruiz (Richard); her loving siblings, Junior Ramos, Lydia Ramos, Carmen Ramos, Roberto (Tito) Ramos, Rosa Ramos, Lisa Ramos; her pride and joy, her granddaughters, Brianna Nunez (Jacor), Jazmine Nunez, Ilexis Keith, Ja'lea Wilson, and Iyanna Keith; and one great-grandson, who she loved dearly, Sage Botchway; and a host of loving nieces and nephews whom she cherished; and two step-daughters in love, Nelida Ruiz and Lydia Ruiz.
A Christian memorial service will take place at Crossroads Fellowship located at 101 N. 1st Street Pleasantville, NJ 08232 on March 11th 2024 at 12:00pm. Repass to follow will be held at New Hope Community Center located at 301 Woodland Avenue Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
