Rose C. Brown (nee Monti) – 93, of Little Egg Harbor, passed away on January 4, 2021. Rose was born on September 26, 1927 in Atlantic City. She was a graduate of Atlantic City High School in 1945 and worked for Seashore Supply as a bookkeeper. She was married to John Brown originally of Linwood and lived in Atlantic City until 2001. They then moved to Absecon. Rose worked for Thomas Company in Atlantic City in the 80s and 90s as a bookkeeper until she retired. After moving to Absecon, she belonged to the Absecon Community Center for Seniors and enjoyed activities with her many friends there. Rose believed in giving back through volunteer work. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for over 50 years and was Regent from 1985-87. She also volunteered at St. Michaels R.C. Church and school in Atlantic City, Our Ladies Residence Nursing Home and other local churches. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and used her talent to make many blankets, adult bibs and other items to donate to nursing homes, churches and other charities. She especially loved family vacations to places like the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, Mt. Washington and a tour of Italy (including Lake Como) where she was able to finally meet her relatives, some for the first time. She was an amazing women, gentle yet so strong who always had something positive to say about anyone she met. She is predeceased by her husband John (2009), her parents Alfred and Teresa, and her son John. Rose is survived by her daughter Ann Bogin, her son-in-law Michael, grandsons Bryan and Joshua of Cinnaminson, NJ and daughter-in-law, Lily Brown of Pasadena, TX. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and she will be greatly missed. Services will be on Friday, January 15th: Visitation 9:00-10:30 am at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd (Rt. 9), Northfield, NJ 08225. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave, Absecon, NJ and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5061 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ. Due to COVID 19 masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rose’s name to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
