Obituary for Rosalind Celeste "Lindy" Watson
Watson, Rosalind Celeste (nee DeCicco), born August 20, 1944, passed away peacefully in her home on December 30, 2022.
Rosalind loved growing up in Absecon, NJ in the 50’s and 60’s “where everyone knew everyone”. Lindy was a proud graduate of Pleasantville High School, Class of 1962 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She also excelled in Art and created art work for her 1962 Breeze Yearbook. Awarded an Art Scholarship to Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, she graduated in 1966 and then taught art for over 20 years in various elementary schools, primarily Hess School in Mays Landing.
She was a dedicated member of the Granny’s Club and Cape-Atlantic Christian Women’s Club.
Daughter of the late Neil and Doris DeCicco, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas, loving daughter, Wendy Shutter and brother, Richard, and brother-in-law, Wilford Watson.
She is survived by sons, Brian (Jamie) and Thomas, brothers Neil (Carolyn) and Gerard, son-in-law Michael Shutter and sister-in-law Barbara Herkert. Grandchildren: Cody, Sierra, Jessica, Kara; Nieces: Cindy, Jill, Shelly, Judy, Cathy, Pat and Missy. And many loved cousins!
All services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at: First Presbyterian Church 701 Wesley Avenue Ocean City, NJ 08226 Viewing 10AM-11AM with a service to follow at 11AM Burial to follow at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers, kindly send donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Ocean City.
