Obituary for Paul Robert Rudolph

Paul Rudolph, 90, of Ventnor City, New Jersey passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021 to join his wife Nina. Paul graduated from Atlantic City High School. It was there where he first spotted Nina in the stands while playing football for the Vikings. After high school, Paul entered the U.S. Navy and served on the USS McDermut where he proudly defended his country in the Korean War. Following his service in the Navy, Paul used his navel communication skills to become a lineman for Bell Telephone Company. After securing a job, Nina and Paul were married and the two started a family together. They moved to Oak Valley NJ where they raised their devoted daughter Paula. Living in Oak Valley brought many wonderful memories and life-long friendships. This was also the place where Paul taught himself the skills of construction and remodeling. After working in the Philadelphia area, Paul and Nina purchased land in Ventnor NJ and began their two year journey of building their dream home. Paul continued to work for the Bell Telephone Company in Atlantic City. After 37 years of service as a lineman, Paul retired to an active life of enjoying his two grandchildren, fishing, building, crafting, and most of all being in his boat. His love for boating led him to the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Paul enjoyed the Auxiliary and held various positions including Vice Commander and Commander. He also enjoyed the time spent patrolling, teaching water safety classes, and making life long friends. Paul also treasured being Santa in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Ventnor City Christmas parades. In Paul's later years, his daughter Paula and her husband Jack Stryker added to the home he built and moved to the shore to be with him and Nina. After losing his wife, his beloved granddaughter Gina Stryker (Curtis) came to reside and help care for him. In his final years, Paul was surrounded by the love of his family, including his great grandchildren; Jayden, 'Little' Nina, and MJ. The family is grateful to his devout caretakers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Kidney Foundation in appreciation of the wonderful DaVita Dialysis Center staff that cared for Paul for so many years. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date. Arrangements by and condolences at www.adams-perfect.com
