Obituary for Patricia Ellen Palmer
Patricia Ellen Joseph, 74 of Mays Landing, New Jersey died Monday, May 9 after a long battle with cancer complicated by pneumonia.
She is preceded in death by her father, Dr. George Louis Joseph of Wheeling, WVA.
She is survived by her mother Florence Kurtyka Joseph and Aunt, Eleanor Kurtyka Spicer both from Mays Landing, NJ., her son, Scott Allen Duncan and wife Dawn of Egg Harbor Township, NJ and her grandchildren, Tristan,Tyler,Hayley, and Kylee, and sisters Eileen Joseph Downing and husband William L. Downing of Baton Rouge La., Diane Joseph Burke and husband J. Michael Burke of Bermuda Run, NC and Susie Joseph Graham and husband James A. Graham of Littleton, NC. ,and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was a graduate of Central Catholic High School class of 1965, and a member of the band. She played the flute and loved playing the piano.
In her early career days, she taught at Wheeling Business College teaching data entry/processing. Her career continued to expand in computers and finance. Pat worked at the Showboat hotel and casino as operations manager in Atlantic City NJ and as a Controller and manager/ supervisor in financial accounting systems in Phoenix Arizona. Pat also worked as a Supervisor at Ikon office Solutions Tempe Arizona and assistant controller for Emergency Restorations Experts in Chandler Arizona.
Pat loved to cook and had a love for people. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Mount Calvary Chapel, 1685 National Road Wheeling, WV on Saturday May 21st at 12:00pm.
