Obituary for Pamela S Brunk

Pamela Sue Brunk
“Pam”
Pamela S. Brunk (nee Schoepflin), age 73, originally of Akron, Ohio and most recently of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, died peacefully and surrounded by her family on October 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Earle and Bonnie Jeanne Schoepflin of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Sheldon Brunk of Egg Harbor Township, and her children Jennifer Singley (David) of West Chester, PA, Lindsey Merrick (Michael) of Glen Mills, PA, and Michael Brunk of Egg Harbor Township, as well as her young grandchildren Claire Singley, Nathan Singley, Owen Merrick, and Henry Merrick.
Though Pam was born in Ohio, she lived in many places across the country throughout her life and cultivated lasting friendships in each place she called home. Over the years she worked as a secretary in various industries, including at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where she met her husband Shelly, and for the Old Spaghetti Factory headquarters in Portland, Oregon. Pam loved traveling, tending to her backyard garden, collecting seashells on the beach, but most of all spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren. She was the glue that held her family together, the arms that were always there for a hug, and the listening ear that was always a phone call away.
A celebration of life to honor Pam will be held at a later date, to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pam’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation are appreciated.
