Myrtle Edna Robinson (97) –
Galloway Township
Myrtle Robinson was born March 21, 1926 to Arthur and Edna Finwall. A lifelong resident of Absecon, prior to moving to Seashore Gardens Nursing Home in Galloway ten years ago. Myrtle went home to see Jesus on April 13, 2023.
Myrtle graduated from Pleasantville High School and attended Wheaton College in Illinois.
She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her generations of children were her joy. She was devoted to her mother and husband by caring for them at home for many years. Myrtle loved being involved in a local church. She was a long-time member of Linwood Community Church before attending Beacon Evangelical Free Church (EFC) during her later years of life with her family. Her faith made her stable and secure throughout her long life. Her most enjoyment came from singing hymns whether in a choir or at home.
She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond Robinson; a child at birth, Leon; a grandson, Joshua Carpenter; a grandson-in-law, Derek Taatjes; and a great grandson, Dillon Taatjes. Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Linda (George) Carpenter, son Carl (Teresa) Robinson, three grandchildren, Charity (George) Bennett, Nathan (Jennifer) Robinson and Luke (Nicole) Robinson; and eight great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:30 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Beacon EFC in Galloway Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beacon Evangelical Free Church located at 420 S Sixth Avenue Galloway, NJ.
