Myron Mack “M & M” Williams

Passed peacefully with family and friends by his side on Friday, June 3, 2022.

Myron is survived by his wife Mary, whom he loved and cherished dearly, son Mykal who was his shining light and pride and joy, cherished stepchildren Tara Sporn and Brett Sporn and precious granddaughters Zoe and Lilah Sporn. Myron is also survived by his beloved mother Idella Williams (née Cheeks), his treasured sisters LaShaun Wood (Thomas), Shelyse White, and adored brothers James Williams and Anthony Williams (Wendy). Myron also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins from both the Cheeks and Williams families as well as numerous close friends to whom he considered part of his family as well. Myron is predeceased by his esteemed father Irving Williams.

Myron was born April 18, 1963 in Washington D.C. “M & M”, as he was known by the musical community, began his love of music playing drums professionally at age 9. After graduation from high school in Terre Haute, Indiana, Myron traveled the world as a musician, vocalist, dancer and choreographer. Myron worked with some of the best in the entertainment industry and was a key member of many of the most popular music groups in the area including Side Story, Don’t Call Me Francis, FM Band, and Party Wave, just to name a few. Myron was also a prolific songwriter and music producer and is responsible for contributing to numerous recording artists. Myron also loved being a mentor to young and upcoming musicians, songwriter and vocalists by running his annual Kai-Zen summer music program. Myron got immense joy by helping others and watching their talent emerge. Myron also got great joy when he was able to perform with his siblings who also shared his love of music and enormous talent.

Myron was a favorite in the entertainment community and his transition has rippled throughout his fellow musicians and fans alike. Immediately following his passing, music venues all over the region did heart felt musical dedications to Myron for his impact and contribution to the entertainment industry both locally, nationally and internationally. Communication has been pouring in from all over with stories, memories and heart felt condolences for a man who made an impact on so many lives both personally and professionally.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Myron’s honor to “Give Kids The World Village” in Kissimmee, Florida that provides week long, cost free magical wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world to their 89 acre Central Florida whimsical non profit resort to enjoy the all of the excitement of the regional theme parks including Epcot and Disney at no cost. Loving and supporting kids was one of Myron’s biggest passions.
