Obituary for Michael Joseph DeLuccia

Michael Joseph DeLuccia
Michael J. DeLuccia, 53, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on May 2, 2021 suddenly in his sleep. Michael grew up in Washington Township. He moved to EHT in 1990 to be closer to his job at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. He worked there for ten years. While working at the Plaza, he made many friends with wonderful memories. The greatest highlight of his time at the Plaza was the day he met the love of his life, Candace. They married in 2001 and started an everlasting love story that will last until the day they are reunited. Out of their love, they created the most amazing children, Emilee and Michael. Michael was the greatest father to his children and you could see that in his interactions with them. He adores them and will now be their protector and guardian angel, watching over them through the next life stages they go through.

Michael was very talented and played in numerous bands. The best and most fun was Stiffler's Mom. Playing with his bandmates was a favorite thing to do, he loved singing, and playing his drums. He will forever play in heaven. For Michael's last 17 years, he was a carpenter / drywall finisher for Local 255. He made many friends over the years. He enjoyed his job and working with good friends. Michael also had many friends at the Tilton, where he liked to kick back, have a beer and crack jokes with all the friends he surrounded himself with. Cheers to you buddy!

Michael was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Broderick; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Sarah DeLuccia; along with his father-in-law, John Rush.

He will be greatly missed by the love of his life, Candace (Rush); and his beautiful, amazing children, Emilee and Michael. Also grieving and cherishing his memory are his loving parents, Michael and Elizabeth DeLuccia; his sister, Cherie and her husband, Kevin Davis; along with their kids, Cristian, Caity and Brandon. He is going to be missed by his mother-in-law, Ellen Rush; his brother-in-law, Doug and his wife, Nicole Rush, and their kids, Adalyn and Kaidyn; his favorite Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Ed Wood, and his cousins, Amanda and Jeff, along with their families will also cherish their memories of Michael. He will also be missed by the Rush / Sochocky families.

He will be missed by many friends. We love you babe and we will be lost without you. Rest in peace my love, rest in peace.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 4-6pm with a service beginning at 6pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road in Northfield. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
