Mary Helen Norman Wimbish was born on September 1, 1948 in Statesville, North Carolina and resided in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at home, following an extended illness. In 1967, Mary Helen graduated from Statesville High School. Following her graduation, she moved to Long Branch, New Jersey, then permanently relocated to Atlantic City, New Jersey. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in merchandise retail as a sales manager for twenty-seven years. Mary was a strong woman, who supported her two small children and husband for almost two years from 1972 till 1974, because her husband was unable to work due to injuries from the Vietnam War. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, J.Q. Norman Sr.; mother, Flora Bratton Norman; and three sisters, Nevada Parker (John), Jo Evelyn Norman Morrison (Larry), and Alama Sue Ramsey. Mary Helen also leaves cherishing memories of her life to husband, Clarence Curtis Wimbish, Sr., two daughters, Rose Wimbish Tompkins (Darayl) and Sylvia Wimbish-Keefer (Brad); a brother, Clarence Wimbish II (Robin); eight grandchildren, Mary Cirilo-Renderer (Gregory) Donovan Wimbish, Christina Maria Cirilo-Lopez (Christian), Camara Wimbish, Makayla Wimbish, Makara Wimbish, Veronica Keefer, and Violet Keefer; three brothers, J.Q. Norman II, Ervin Norman (Paulette), Marvin Norman (Juanita); three surviving sisters, Corine Kennedy (George), Jo Ann Thomas (William), and Queen E. Morrison (Wayne). She also leaves her cherishing memory to a host of brothers-in-laws and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Mary Helen was a very quiet soft-spoken lady, who loved everyone and enjoyed travel. Her favorite flowers were roses. She and Clarence, her husband planted various kinds of roses in the yard of their first home.
