Mary Schneider

Mary Hanrahan Schneider, of Northfield, passed away on April 27, 2022. Born in New York City in 1929, Mary was the daughter of the late Thomas Hanrahan and the late Margaret O’Sullivan Hanrahan. She married her beloved husband, Harold Schneider, in 1951, and together they had six children. Longtime residents of Clark, New Jersey, Mary and Harold then lived in Westfield, New Jersey before settling in Northfield in 2007. Harold passed the following year. Mary is survived by her six children, Anne Smith (Chuck), Carol Johnston (Judd), Christine Kryszczak (Todd), JoAnn Wedbush (Thomas), John Schneider (Victoria) and Paul Schneider (Susan). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Farrell and Gloria Occhiogrosso, and is survived by her sister, Gerri Turci. Mary was selflessly devoted to her family, who will always cherish her memory. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the sisters and staff of Villa Raffaella for their compassionate care in Mary’s final months. Funeral arrangements are private.
