Rossiter, Mary – 80, passed away at Shore Memorial Hospital on November 30, 2022. A resident of Northfield, she graduated from Saint Peter School, Pleasantville and Holy Spirit High School class of 1960. Continuing her education she attended Sacred Heart College, Belmont NC and Our Lady of the Elms College in Springfield, MA. She was employed by Shore Memorial Hospital first as a tech and eventually becoming supervisor of the Hospital Laboratory.
As an active member of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, she served as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, committee member and a willing volunteer. An active crocheter she created countless prayer shawls, baby blankets, and afghans for parish members. Furthermore, each year she made over 50 winter hats and donated them to an area charity.
Mary is predeceased by her parents John Rossiter, Mildred Pierce Rossiter and Anne Steeb Rossiter. Surviving are her siblings Mildred Rossiter, RSM, Nancy Rossiter, Eugene (Gerry) Steeb, Joan (Ken) Hudson and Ann (Bob) Keys, aunt Jeanne Pierce, nieces, nephews and countless cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5th at Saint Gianna Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield, with a viewing beginning at 9:30am followed by a Mass at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family is grateful to Mary’s many friends who provided support and assistance during her time of need.
