Obituary for Marie Pinto (Cervone)

Marie Pinto-90, (nee, Cervone) of Egg Harbor Twp. departed to go home to the Lord on Feb. 8th, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Elda and Michael Cervone & attended Lafayette HS, where she met & married Louis Pinto, the love of her life. Mom & Dad had 3 children, Daughter, Lois D'Anna &(Peter, predeceased) & Granddaughter, Kimberly & Grandson, Aiden; Son, Robert & Marji Pinto, & Son, Louis (predeceased)& Donna Pinto & Grandson, Vincent & Great Granddaughter, Charlotte & Granddaughter, Darlene & Great Granddaughter, Ciara. She also leaves behind many cousins, and goddaughter, Elyse Castaldo and her godson, Kenneth Klug. She is also predeceased by her brother Vincent and Anthony. Mom started her early days after HS working as a switchboard operator for a Law Firm, then between days of starting their family, held various positions in Conair Corp . in Brooklyn, & as an Admin. Asst in Mayor Ed Koch's office in NY which she greatly enjoyed. After moving to NJ, they lived in Brigantine, Ventnor & finally in EHT where both Mom & Dad worked in the Casinos, Mom as a Blackjack Dealer @ Caesar's. She loved being a Blackjack Dealer & made many lifetime friends during those yrs. Mom always enjoyed cooking huge dinners for the family esp. Easter & Christmas Eve (7 fishes) & passed along many beautiful traditions that we will always cherish & are priceless to us. Mom loved bowling in leagues along with Dad & they enjoyed a few cruises during their years. Dad was stricken with Alzheimer's Disease & Mom gave all her love & care to Dad until he passed in 2005. Mom found enjoyment catching up with friends. Then, in the past five years, Mom fought a courageous battle with cancer going through many procedures & treatments until the past six months, when things got very serious & it was time for Mom to take a rest, although we would have loved to have her with us for many more yrs to come. We now, try to accept that Mom is home with Jesus, Dad & all our loved ones as we await the day we will join them for the best reunion ever! Family & friends may call on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 from 9am to 10:30 @ Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, Inc.,1650 New Rd, Northfield, NJ A Mass of Christian Burial will be held @ 11am@ St. Gianna Beretta Molla Church, 1421 New Rd, Northfield, NJ Burial will be held in Atlantic County Veteran's Cemetery, 109Route 50, Estell Manor, NJ.
