Kim Jankowski (McKain)

I first met Lil at East Girard Savings Assn. when I started working in the Mortgage Dept.. It may be hard to believe but I enjoyed going to work each day because of Lil along with Wes, Scott and Marie. It was Lil who introduced me to Judy Jankowski and it was Judy who introduced me to her cousin Stephen - my husband. Lil knew how to enjoy life whether it was lunch at Vitali's on Friday afternoons, going down to the place she and Steve had at the shore or being with her family. She loved her family and her sons were her pride and joy and it was obvious to anyone that they loved and valued her even more. I was happy to see that after Steve passed that Lil was able to start the next chapter with Herman and her grandchildren. A few weeks ago a co-worker started to laugh and that laugh took me back to working with Lil and how she would start cracking up over something someone said or that happened in the office. I knew Lil for several years and shared holiday cards with her for a few more. Despite falling out of touch something would happen that would remind me of her and I would think about her. It was just after one of these memories that I saw she had passed. Lil was someone I am proud to have crossed paths with and shared so many good times. Please know my thoughts and prayers for this wonderful person go out to her family. As long as we have memories our loved ones are never far from us. Rest in peace Lil.
