Obituary for Lee A Seward

Lee Andrew Seward, 90 years old of Egg Harbor Township, NJ left this earthly life while holding hands with his loving wife of 50 years on January 14, 2020. Born on December 3, 1929 to Willie Mae Bridgeforth and Adolf Seward, Andrew, as he was called, was the youngest of his siblings and spent his childhood in Kenbridge, Virginia. After Joining the United States Army and serving in the National Guard, Andrew landed in Atlantic City which he called home in the 1950"s. Andrew held may jobs but spent his career as a Head Chef at fine restaurants and casinos in and around Atlantic City including Zaberers and Aubrey's. It was at the President Hotel where he met and married Anna Mae Schibik of Atlantic City in 1969. Andrew was loving husband, father, grandfather and provider and had many friends. After retirement from the Claridge Hotel and Casino, he spent most of his retirement caring for his grandchildren after school and during the summers at "Camp Pop-Pop". Andrew was a simple man who loved comfy pajamas and a cozy robe, cooking for his family, playing the Pick and watching "the judge shows" but his favorite was the Price is Right. Andrew was know for cutting-up and that sense of humor will be remembered by many. Andrew leaves behind to cherish his unconditional love, his devoted wife, Anna Mae who we lovingly call Honey; his children Adrienne Seward, Ruebena Shuib and Lee Andrew Seward, Jr., Joyce West and Gary Seward, Andrew (Genelle) Seward, David (Irma) Seward, Kristen (Brian) Gunter and his youngest, John Seward who in his final months did a commendable job as his caregiver. Andrew also leaves his favorite sister in law Pauline, 31 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc. and will be private for family and friends. Submitted by his loving family.
