Obituary for Lee Meranus (Harris)

Lee Meranus was born Lee Harris on August 1, 1932 in Newark, New Jersey. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Alan Meranus for 59 years.

Lee is survived by her four children; Stephen Meranus (Carol), Daniel Meranus (Merary), Linda Meranus, and David Meranus (Sharon). Lee was also a grandmother to four children; Kaitlyn Beebe (Colin), Kyle, Ian and David Jr., and Liam. Mom was also a proud great grandmother of Julian and Josie.

Lee earned her associates degree in English from Maryland University while her husband Alan was in the Air Force as a Sergeant. Lee enjoyed her studies in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., while she and her husband Alan were stationed at Andrew's Air Force Base. She was also a successful lead secretary at the Seritan Company.

Lee's love and beautiful smile radiated from within her heart. She made friends wherever she went. She took joy in helping people from all walks of life and always believed in the good of people. She was a proud animal lover. She never hesitated to bring in stray cats to feed and love them. She and her husband Alan were active in Beth Israel Synagogue in Lansdale, Pennsylvania as head of the sisterhood, and Alan in the brotherhood. Lee was a lover of the beach, the life of the party, and always the first person on the dance floor. She always had an incredible sense of humor during the most challenging times.

Services will be for immediate family on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 1:30pm and virtual via zoom with a Zoom link
