Obituary for Kevin Jay Leatherwood Sr.
Pastor Kevin J Leatherwood Sr. 52 of Egg Harbor Township passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 30th.
Kevin was a U.S Navy Special Ops Seal and a Meritorious Expeditionary Medal recipient. He was born in Elmer NJ, a man of God, he has an Associates in Theological Studies and was pursuing his Bachelors. He was a long-time active member of New Life Assembly in EHT. He loved everyone in his church family.
He was a man who would do anything for his family, but took extra pride in his grandchildren. He loved his family dinners at home.
He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Tracie Leatherwood, three sons, Kevin Leatherwood Jr. (Alyse), Korey Leatherwood and Keith Leatherwood (Mary) and his four beautiful grandchildren, Kendall, Leland, Nova and Julian.
A service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at New Life Assembly of God, 5071 Fernwood Ave., Egg Harbor Twp., where family and friends may gather from 11-12 PM. A service will begin at 12 PM. Interment with military honors at 2:00 pm at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers the family ask for financial assistance for the funeral expenses, any donations above cost will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project.
