Kenneth Mckenzie Shields, 86, passed away March 9, 2022 at home in Vineland, New Jersey. Ken spent the majority of his life in Aurora, Illinois before moving to New Jersey in 2019. Ken was the son of the late Marshall Charles Shields and Margaret Helen Ward. He is predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Carol Ann and his sisters Barbara and Diana.

Ken studied at the Academy of Art in Chicago where he met his beloved wife to be. Ken went on to become an advertising artist in both New York City and Chicago before pursuing a Masters in Education. He worked the later part of his career in the high school district of St. Charles, Illinois before retiring. He was an avid fan of football and basketball and enjoyed sailing.

He is survived by his sons Burt and Mark of California, Greg and daughter-in-law Linda of New Jersey, and sister Sandy of California and many nieces and nephews across the country.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of a donation to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission homeless shelter in New Jersey.
