CONNOR, JOSEPH of Fort Lauderdale, FL ( formerly of Margate, NJ) died Saturday August 6, 2022 at the age of 73 after a lengthy battle with colon cancer. Born September 18, 1948, Joseph grew up in South Philadelphia where he attended Saint Monica’s and graduated from Bishop Neuman High School in 1966. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1968, he was stationed in Germany, and honorably discharged in 1974. He worked as an Operating Engineer out of Local 825. He was predeceased by his parents William Sr. , Julia Connor , and his sister Mary. He is survived by his children Joseph, Christopher ( Andrea) , Derrick (Erin), his grandchildren Lochlan and Levy , his siblings Julia Loftus , William Jr., John, Timothy, Thomas, Patricia ,and Robert, along with his cousins and nieces and nephews . The family will receive guests from 10am-10:45 am followed by a mass of celebration at 11am on Tuesday September 13th at Blessed Sacrament Church in Margate , NJ. Burial will be private . In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and the American Cancer Society.
