Romero, Jorge E. 72 Born April 9, 1948 as Jorge Eliecer Romero to Jose Romero and Ofelia Bayona in Bogota, Colombia. Jorge immigrated to the U.S. in 1973. After settling in among the newly burgeoning casino industry in Atlantic City, he devoted the next 40 years of his life to managing some of the best dining establishments in the country and earning him the highest respect among industry professionals and clients. He had the ability to make someone feel special whether that was a stranger, a client, or a loved one. In 2019, he was diagnosed with bile duct cancer. Despite the ordeal, his infectious smile, charm, and persistent optimism never waivered. He passed away while under hospice care surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his wife Stella and children Jorge Jr., Cesar, and Sandra. Services and Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Rosehill Cemetery Linden, New Jersey.
