Obituary for Iris D Santiago

Iris D. Santiago, better know as "La Quinceanera", was born on October 19, 1941 in Guanica, Puerto Rico. Iris departed this life on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City.

Iris worked many years with the Board of Education in Atlantic City and also with the City of Atlantic City, where she retired in 2004. Iris was a very happy person. She loved going out dancing, that's where she got her name, "La Quinceanera." Iris was loved by everyone.

Iris was predeceased by her parents, Luis Torres and Gloria J. Orta; her daughter, Aracelis Santiago; her grandson, Antonio C. Monroe, Jr.; her brothers, Heriberto Torres, Wilfredo Torres and Julio L. Torres.

Iris leaves to cherish fond memories, her ex-husband father her children Jose A Santiago; her son, Jose A. Santiago and Neftali Santiago; daughters, Jackeline Santiago and Wilda Santiago; granddaughters, Eveliz I. Robles, Lisette Santiago, Aracelis Santiago, Clarissa Cosme, Stephanie Cosme, Ana Santiago, Tatyiana Cosme, Jareidis Escalera, and Angelica Santiago; her grandsons, Angel Robles, Jose Santiago, Joel Robles, Sebastian Cosme, Eddie O. Escalera; her brother, Angel J. Torres; her sister, Luisa Torres; her great grandkids, Kani Austin, De'onni Ragsdale, Aston Ragsdale, Zaheer Owens, Jayden Lopez, Janea Santiago, Jose Santiago, Josi Santiago, London Cooper, Robert Parker, Lyric Johnson, Lorenzo Cosme, Hamaas Edwards, Ha'na Edwards and Eliza Cosme. Iris also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and a lot of special friends.
