A loving mother and homemaker, Hattie loved preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. For many years leading up to her passing, she hosted family cookouts which were attended by many. Hattie and Leroy loved to travel by car throughout the United States and Canada.

Hattie is survived by her sons, Ronald of Mays Landing, New Jersey and Leroy (Bubbie) of Baltimore, Maryland; and her daughter-in-law, Tina. She is survived by four grandchildren, Vanessa, Stephanie, Damon and Roy and three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Skylar and Nicky, who affectionately called her "Nana."
