Gus Lewis, 85, of Egg Harbor Township passed away on April 8th, 2020. Gus is the son of late Nick & Anna Lewis of Reading, PA. He is pre-deceased by his son, Christopher. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years; Doris, his son; Glenn (Alisa), his grandchildren; Nick aka “Big Guy” (Stacey), Shelby aka “Froggy” (Cody), and great-grandchildren; Nick & Logan. During his time, Gus served proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1953-57 as an electronics radar technician. Gus retired as a systems analyst on air traffic control systems for the F.A.A. Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township. Gus met the love of his life; Doris, on Christmas night in 1951, and together they created a beautiful life. Gus and Doris enjoyed travelling to Florida and they were avid lovers of everything Disney. Gus also enjoyed sharing his love of flying with his son, Glenn. More than anything, Gus loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and play. Gus was a gentleman, and a gentle man. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Gus’ name to a local animal shelter.
