Obituary for Georganna Marie Butcher

Georganna Marie Butcher age 61, died unexpectedly but peacefully at her home in Woodstock, Georgia on November 28, 2020. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving personality who touched the lives of everyone she met.
Georganna was the youngest of eight children, born in Somers Point, NJ to Anna and George Butcher in 1959. Throughout her life she attended various programs for persons with disabilities in NJ, FL and finally Georgia where she last attended The Cherokee Day Training Center.
She was most proud of the many nieces and nephews who were born into her very large family! She enjoyed holidays with her family and most especially her birthday parties! As one of God's special angels on earth, Georganna inspired so many others to become more compassionate and understanding of those with special needs. Because of her, programs for children and adults with disabilities were developed at the YMCA in Broward County, FL that still exist today. Her radiant and infectious smile will never be forgotten by those whose lives she touched.
Georganna is survived by:
Brothers, Henry (Bill) and wife, Irene Butcher who provided care for her for many years; David and wife, Gail Butcher.
Sisters, Joan Butcher Hofmeister; Delores (Dee) Butcher Smith; Nancy Butcher Atkinson.
Many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, George and Anna (Gleisberg) Butcher; brothers, George Butcher Jr. and Robert Butcher.
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Carline Millien, who provided Georganna with loving care for the past seven years. A special thank you to her doctors and the nurses who attended to all her medical needs and to all those who touched her life.
