Hamilton, Emma Elizabeth, 73, of Northfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Born in Atlantic City, Emma spent most of her life in Northfield. She worked many years as a nurse’s aide and manager of Mike’s Deli in Galloway. Emma was very active in the Northfield community as a softball coach for Northfield All Sports, a room mother, and a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was predeceased by her husband John "Jack" Taggart; her parents, Francis and Edna Hamilton; and brother, William Hamilton.

Emma is survived by her children, Christine (Rick) Tarquinio, Kelly (Steve) Ellsworth, Jack (Lisa) Taggart, and Brad (Stacey) Price; grandchildren, Steven (Lita), Jackie, Jakob, Tyler, Matt, Karli, Kenyon, Haley, and Bradley; brothers, Patrick (Sue) Hamilton, Tony (Shirley) Calabrese, and Nino Calabrese; sisters, Debbie (Frank) Grottola, Sissy (Mike) McCracken, Wendy Hillesheim, and Marie Lott; sister in-laws, Karen Hamilton and Diane Calabrese; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield. A memorial service will be at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.
