Ashton, Elwood M. "Joe", 80, of Egg Harbor Twp, passed away on August 16, 2017. Born to Elwood and Leona (Perry) Ashton on January 14, 1937 in Pleasantville, NJ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Naomi nee Whitcraft; three children, Joanne, Jeffery Ashton, and Cindy Sasano; four step-children, Jake, Catherine, Frank, and Bonnie; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his dog princess; and mother in-law, Catherine Simpson.

He graduated from Miami Tech High School in 1954. He honorably served in the US Army. Joe drove a tractor trailer, and after retiring he was a big truck mechanic and a handyman. He enjoyed word fine books and playing games on his computer. Joe will be greatly missed by all of us.

Services will be private for the family at Laurel Memorial Park in Pomona. Arrangements entrusted to and condolences for the family may be left at Adams-Perfect.com
