Obituary for Eileen M Schenck (Grote)
Eileen Marie Schenck (nee Grote), 76, of Linwood, NJ; Tavernier, FL; and most recently EHT, NJ; passed
away October 3, 2020 after an extended illness. Eileen loved all things tropical! The Florida Keys, Outer Banks of NC, Jimmy Buffett, Caribbean music, palm trees and geckos were all favorites. She especially enjoyed growing orchids. Her love for the ocean and beach inspired her to spend many hours collecting marine life in FL, NC, NJ, TX and even HI for her
salt water aquariums. She also bred, raised and sold tropical fish for many years. Eileen was artistic as well. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed crafts, painting and playing the piano. Additionally, she was very involved in the major remodeling projects to two of her homes.
Eileen is pre-deceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret (nee Lochel) Grote; her uncle Edward Lochel; and her husband David Schenck. She is survived by her children: Dianne Schenck, Robert (Kristine) Schenck, Susan (Robert) Rando, and Pamela (Joseph) Hroblak; as well as her grandchildren: Kristy, Peter (Kristi) and Vincent Rando; Shelby and Skylar Schenck; and Mason and Tanner Hroblak. And last, but certainly not least, her two fur babies: Maggie and Buffett.
A viewing is being held for immediate family at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home in Northfield, NJ, and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Eileen’s ashes will be placed in the coral reefs that she loved so much.
In lieu of flowers, kindly donate in her name to an animal or ocean charity that is close to your heart.
