Obituary for Edward Joseph Pullman

Edward Joseph Pullman 64, of EHT played his final note at his home surrounded by his heart broken family and his loyal K-9 Bodhi, on May 16, the day the music died. Ed was best known as an exceptional guitarist and AC's most trusted pawn broker.
Ed loved growing up in Pleasantville and was a really neat kid. He was a cub scout, paperboy, played Mighty Mites football (all-star LB), had a vegetable garden, built tree forts and loved crabbing. Ed attended St. Peter's where he was an altar boy and unofficial class clown. He graduated Holy Spirit class of '75, played freshman football and studied electronics at Vo-Tech. Ed earned a certificate in electronics and made a cool digital clock that remained in the family for decades. Ed worked at Wood's Loan Office for 45 years before retiring over two years ago. He was a certified gemologist and expert on gold, jewelry, watches and musical instruments. He helped thousands pawn their items and served them in a timely, efficient, friendly manner. Ed tutored his son in the art of pawning which resulted in Ian becoming operations manager and ultimately a partner. Ed discovered his passion for the guitar at Wood's. He was self taught, naturally great and it brought him joy to play for and with others. Ed was definitely a character and a man of character. Time spent with Ed was time well spent! He was fair, kind, smart, honest, empathetic, talented, thoughtful, humble, generous, grateful and extremely FUNNY! Ed was an awesome father, brother and son. He said the best part of his life was Ian. They worked, partied and played guitars together. They studied martial arts and would also go to the shooting range for target practice. One of the best father and son acts of all time! Ed is predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary and his brother Chuckie. Ed is survived by his son Ian Pullman and his fiancé, Maria; his sister Mary Beth Menschner and her husband Alan, sister Roseanne Lewis and her husband James, brother Thomas, nephew William Menschner, his wife Crystal and great nephew Sebastian, niece Kristin Rambone, her husband Joseph, great nephew Joseph and great niece Alexis, niece Amy Baroco and her husband Joseph.
