McAviney, Edward 76 of Egg Harbor Township, NJ passed away at his residence with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Grace McAviney and sister Gracie. Ed served in the US Army in 101 St Airborne and was in Vietnam and Korea. He was proud to serve and protect our country. Ed spent his work career as a chef in numerous casinos. He cooked privately for numerous stars including Frank Sinatra and others. Ed spent 10 years coaching for EHT in baseball, football and basketball. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol and his children, Carolanne (Charlie) Madison and Matthew; son Richard (Shellie) Grandaughter and 3 great grandchildren; son, Edward (Nicole); sister, Pat Walker (George) and their children Kelly, Gabe and 3 grandchildren; nephew George( Mandy) and son Conner; brother, Terrance (Karen) and son, Jason; sister, Sharon (Al) daughter Amanda (Corry) son Michael; sister Donna Keply ( Bob) and their family; sister, Debbie Delaney ( Robert) and their family; Michelle Eastman and husband Alex and children; a host of other nieces and nephews and extended family and friends; sister in-law, Audrey and her family; and a shout out to all his Shelter avenues neighbors and friends. A memorial service will be held at 12 PM Friday Nov. 17, 2023 with a gathering of family and friends from 11AM until the time of the service at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc. 1650 New Road Northfield, NJ 08225. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
