I am very sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. He was truly the nicest man I ever knew. He was my best friend during those important years of trying to grow up. His kindness, loving nature and caring made me try to measure up to him. I went to the last reunion only to see him. He arrived and immediately told me he only came to see me. We had a wonderful couple of hours talking about the old days. He told me about his kids and life. He was exactly the man I remembered. How lucky his kids and grandkids must have been to have him in their lives. Every April 15th I wish him a happy birthday and think about the old days. He helped me with my transition from the Inlet to Margate. I couldn't have had a better friend. I will miss him forever. Joann was the first S in home room and I was the last R.
