Moore, Dorothy 92 of Atlantic City, born in Absecon , longtime resident including Pleasantville N.J. She was called home to be with the Lord and received her wings peacefully at home around her family on January 16th 2021. Dorothy was born to the late William Carroll & Grace Prescott Carroll. Dorothy graduated from Atlantic City High School. She met and married the love of her life Stanley B Moore and from this union ,two daughters were born.This was a love story for 60 plus years. Dorothy was a devoted member of St. James AME Church in Atlantic City, where she was a Sunday School Superintendent; teacher,class leader,Senior Choir member,& on the scholarship committee to name a few. Dorothy worked at Garwood Mills, Palley’s jewelers, Gordon’s Alley & retired from Sands Hotel/ Casino. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents and her sister Bernice Roberts. She is survived by her daughters Grace Moore ,Stacey Moore Hall ( Mark Seymore) of Galloway, 2 sisters in law ,Barbara Moore Bowe of Atlantic City & Donna Moore of EHT. 1 Brother in law Oliver Austin 3 grandsons, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 step grandson , 2 step Granddaughters & a host of nieces ,nephews,& friends. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday January 23. 2021 at Atlantic City Cemetery Pleasantville, NJ at 12:00 pm. by the Reverend James Coaxum presiding pastor of St.James AME Church.
