Doris (née Loose) Lewis, 86, of Egg Harbor Township passed away on Monday April 27th, 2020. Doris was born March 26, 1934 to late Dorothy (née Groff) Wawrzyniak and Stewart Loose of Reading, PA. Doris is pre-deceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Gus; and son Christopher. She is survived by her son, Glenn (Alisa) Lewis; grandchildren, Nick (Stacey) Lewis, Shelby (Cody) Canale; and great-grandchildren, Nick and Logan Lewis. During her time, Doris enjoyed being a homemaker for her beloved husband, children and pups. After many years of caring for her family, Doris worked a short time with Mainland Regional Education Association. Doris met her soulmate, Gus; in December of 1951, and the two became one when they married on May 1st of 1954. Doris and Gus enjoyed their life as “snow-birds” travelling between their homes in Jersey and Florida. Together, they admired the magic of Disney and loved to visit Disney World whenever possible. Doris was an avid animal lover and enjoyed caring for her many four-legged children over the years, as well as admiring the beauty of nature while bird watching. Doris surely had a warm welcome in heaven as her beloved husband, Gus; welcomed her with open arms. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Doris’ name to an Alzheimer’s Association of choice.
