Condolence From: Dawn Corrigan
Condolence: I just tried to google Claire and found this obituary. I'm sad to know of her passing. My mother worked in the same South Jersey school district as Claire for a while (I believe Pleasantville, but it might have been Ventnor), and she became a friend of our family for a time. She was especially kind to me, bringing me books I wouldn't have been exposed to easily otherwise (I believe it was Claire who gave me Tuck Everlasting, and I'm still haunted by that eerie, melancholy book). For me at that time, Claire was a glimpse into another kind of life, one focused on meaningful work and service and books and ideas. I will always be grateful. My sincere condolences to her loved ones, who must miss her greatly. I trust she rests in peace.

Condolence: I was a friend of Claire's sister, Mary. After Mary passed away Claire and I corresponded and formed a little friendship. Sorry I just learned of her passing. Claire was a smart cookie and class act.
