Somers Point, N.J. -- Christopher Mark Griggs of Mays Landing died Sunday, Dec. 27, at Shore Medical Center. He was 36. Raised in Northfield, Christopher was a 2003 Mainland Regional High School graduate and a member of the school's basketball and baseball teams. He received his bachelor's in economics from Rutgers University in 2007. He worked as a financial advisor for Janney Montgomery Scott for more than nine years before his death. He also served as treasurer of the Tilton Village Recreation Center of Northfield. Christopher is survived by his wife Brooke (Ford) and his children Jack and Sarah; his parents, Peggy Griggs of Northfield and William Griggs of Elizabeth; his sister Amanda Griggs of West Palm Beach, Florida his adoring uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as his extended step families and legions of friends.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Jack and Margaret Beggane, formerly of Ocean City, and Arthur and Mary Griggs, formerly of Absecon. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish 1421 New Road Northfield, NJ 08225. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing. The family would like to thank the staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City and it's satellite campus in Middletown, the Atlantic Care Cancer Treatment Center in Egg Harbor Township and Shore Medical Center in Somers Point for their tender care and kindness.
