Obituary for Carol Ann Shields

Carol Ann Shields,84, passed away March 5, 2020 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey with her husband Ken and son Greg at her side. "Ann" as she was affectionately known, was born and raised in Aurora, Illinois where she spent her entire life before moving to New Jersey in 2019. Ann was the daughter of the late Roger Earl Low and Evelyn E. Low (nee Chase). She is predeceased by her brother Roger Low and sister in-law Rosemary Low.

Ann studied at the Academy of Art in Chicago where she met her husband of 61 years. Together they raised their three sons and spent many joyful summers at her family's cottage at Kelly Lake, Wisconsin. She was a talented artist and loving wife and mother. She went on to be a Teacher's Aid, where she shared her love of art and animals,with a specific fondness for the Koala bear. She loved and appreciated the Dolphin Tour from the Historic Gardner's Basin in Atlantic City,New Jersey where she could watch the dolphins and their young as they migrated back to the Mid-Atlantic waters.

She is survived by her husband Ken, her sons,Burt and Mark of California and Greg and his wife, Linda, of New Jersey, her brother Roger's two daughters, Erika and Victoria, and her sister in law Sandy, and many other nieces and nephews.
