Carol Ann Brown "Barretta", 74 of Somers Point, born 5/2/1948 in Philadelphia, PA. passed away peacefully while in the care of the Samaritan Center at Voorhees, with her family by her side. Carol was predeceased by her parents Claire Klukiewski and Raold Baldwin, brother Raymond Baldwin, and husband Charlie Brown. She is survived by her loving children, Anthony Barretta, Jason Barretta (Elizabeth), Tara Rossano (Jack), Jeremy Barretta (Amber), and her sisters Mary and Michele. Carol is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Brandon James (Jasmine), Anthony Barretta Jr., Brianna Barretta, Justin Barretta, Jeremy Barretta, Jack Rossano, Isabella Barretta, and Logan Rossano. She loved spending time with her grandchildren who called her “Nini”, watching shows, playing games, or going to their sporting events. Carol enjoyed reading, watching movies, and soap operas. While living in Egg Harbor Township she spent numerous years coaching cheerleading, softball, and street hockey. Carol enjoyed working with children so much that she became a teaching assistant at Creative Learning in Linwood. She spent countless weekends babysitting for families in our community. Carol spent many years as a nanny for the Edmunds family in Linwood, caring for Bobby, Billy, Brett, and Bryce. She eventually went back to Creative Learning before retiring. A visitation will be held at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd., Northfield, NJ 08225, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 4pm to 5pm. A service will take place at 5pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Samaritan Center at Voorhees.
