Beverly J. Costello (nee Small), 71, of Port Elizabeth, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at home. Bev was born in Atlantic City, NJ, raised in Atlantic County, and moved to Estell Manor prior to relocating to Port Elizabeth in 1993.

Bev was a long-time loan officer with both Collective and Cape Savings Banks. Previously, she served as business secretary at Taylor Business School. She treated everyone she met like a friend. Bev went out of her way to make every occasion extra special, and was known for her over the top Christmas Eve parties – even playing Santa or Frosty at times. She is most beloved and cherished for serving as mom to her siblings and their families. She could always be counted on for strength, comfort, and a great big bear hug when it was needed most. Those blue eyes must twinkle bright in heaven.

Bev was predeceased by her parents, Doris and Charles Small; her brother, Chuck Small; her sisters, Joan Gallagher and Donna Spinola; her nephews, Michael Gallagher and Timothy Brown; and her niece, Michelle Smith. She is survived by her husband, Jim Costello, her daughter, Kim Bailey, Theresa Spinola (Kate); and two sisters, Doris “Dee” (David) Small-Burch and Violet “Vi” (Robert) Small. Bev is also survived by her only grandchild, Jared Bailey and several nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 am to 11 am, on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, Northfield, NJ 08225. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am, at the funeral home. The family requests that those in attendance wear bright colors or honor her memory with Hawaiian attire. Cremation and inurnment will be private. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland County S.P.C.A., 1244 N. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
