Beatrice (Bea) V. Helder (Sutton), 92, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division, surrounded by her family. Bea was born in Linwood, NJ and is predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Velma, and her husband, Charles. Bea is one of six children and is also predeceased by her sisters, Edie and Doris, and her brother, Tom. She is survived by her sisters, Willy (George) and Judy, and many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of the Pleasantville High School, class of 1948, Bea was employed by Tripicians Chocolates in Atlantic City, NJ. Following Tripicians Chocolates, she worked for Lenox China. Before her retirement, Bea also loved being a school crossing guard in Northfield, NJ.

Bea was a true dog lover and cared for many of her own poodles over her lifetime. Her most recent dog is a bichon-poo named Sophie, who was the center of her world. She was also an avid crocheter and would often make sweaters and blankets for her dogs and family. Every year, Bea’s family would look forward to her hand-beaded Christmas ornaments that she would give as gifts.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Spring Home of Galloway for all of their hospitality while Bea resided there. They would also like to thank all of the staff who cared for her at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center for their compassion and support during her final hours.
