Obituary for Anna Marie Carlley

Anna Marie Carlley (Sangiorgio) passed away on Monday January 25, 2021 at Seashore Gardens Living Center. Anna was born on February 18th, at her home in South Philadelphia. She was born to Louise (Veteri) and Joseph Sangiorgio. Anna attended South Philadelphia High School and Bok Vocational School. She met her husband Samuel Carlley through a close neighbor who brought her down to South Jersey. Anna volunteered at the St. Peter’s Catholic School in the library where her children attended. She worked many jobs in South Jersey, but her favorite was at Caesars Hotel/Casino. She loved to talk to anyone that would listen. She always referred to herself as “mom” to everyone that knew her. She was very proud of her Italian heritage. She is predeceased by her husband Samuel Carlley, her sister Teresa Scrocca, her brother Nicholas Sangiorgio. She is survived by her sister Marie D’Angelo of Philadelphia. She is also survived by her son Bruce Carlley of Las Vegas, her daughter Lisa (John) Agnew of Northfield, and the loves of her life her grandchildren Giana Agnew of Northfield and PFC Nicholas Agnew of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday Feb. 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc. 1650 New Road Northfield, NJ. Friends may call from 9:30-11:00 AM prior to the service Tuesday morning. Interment will follow at Atlantic City Cemetery, NJ. We would also like to acknowledge all of the staff at Seashore Gardens who took wonderful care of our beloved Anna. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Susan G.
