Obituary for Agnes Roberta "Mickey" De Feo (Mc Ilmoyle)

Agnes “Mickey” De Feo, 73, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Born in Bryn Mawr, PA to the late Edward and Margaret McIlmoyle, she was the seventh of 10 children. She graduated from Haverford High School in 1967 and spent many years raising her family. During that time she was employed for 26 years by the Galloway Township Board of Education. Later, in 2009, she graduated with honors from Atlantic Cape Community College, earning an Associate in Science Degree in Paralegal Studies.

Mickey loved the Lord and was an active member of the churches to which she belonged. At the Chelsea Community Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City, NJ she served as an Elder and Clerk of Session. She was later a member of Christ’s Wesleyan Church in Egg Harbor City, NJ where she served on the Board of the Church, taught Sunday School, and sang in the choir for many years.

Mickey was a wonderful grandmother and she cherished the time she got to spend with Olivia and Jacob. She especially enjoyed babysitting them where they would spend time outside playing games in the yard, drawing pictures and coloring, building castles, and decorating the house in different themes. She was an avid reader who enjoyed getting lost in a good book. Holidays were a favorite time for her as well since it meant more time with family. It also meant it was time for her famous homemade gravy and meatballs, which her family greatly enjoyed.

She is survived by her three loving children; Lisa, wife of Chuck Palomino, Michelle, wife of Joe Previti, Anthony, husband of Angela DeFeo, two grandchildren whom she adored; Olivia and Jacob, Deanne Senft and Dina Pileggi who were also like daughters to her, five brothers and sisters; Ed, Eleanor, Joanne, Debbie, and Bill, her granddogs; Roxy and Luigi, and two grandcats; Winnie and Willow. She is predeceased by her brother Dave and her sisters Peggy, Janet and Kay.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
