Abel R. Garwood, 100, of Egg Harbor Twp. passed away on February, 18th, 2021. Abel was born in Somers Point, NJ, graduated from Pleasantville HS in 1939 and served in the Army in WWII. Abel was an Operating Engineer for Cedarbridge Nursery/AC Race Course. Upon retirement he was employed with World Class Flowers. Abel was a lifelong member of Zion Methodist Church. Abel was predeceased by his loving wife, Ruth (nee Tillett). He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Arnie (Christine), sister, Eleanor Hand, grandchildren, Doug (Emelia), Deana, Paul (Julie) and 4 great grandchildren. Abel will be remembered for his appreciation for a simple life spent with family and friends, farming and tractors, automobiles (Fords) and his faith in God. A special thank you to everyone at Bayada Hospice for their compassion and care. A graveside service will be held at Zion Cemetery Egg Harbor Township, NJ on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
