Obituary for Joseph Louis Patane Jr.

Patane, Joseph Louis, Jr., 84, of Northfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Born and raised in South Philadelphia. As a teenager, he started working at Palumbo's Restaurant until his retirement from the police department and he also worked as an Atlantic City Lifeguard, during the summer months. Joseph worked for the Philadelphia Police Department for many years, retiring as a detective. After retiring to the shore, he worked in security at Trump Plaza. He enjoyed cooking. Joseph loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren, and watching their activities and sports, as they grew up.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rosaria Patane; sisters, Anna Carfagno and Grace Lauletta; brother, Rito Patane; and son in-law, Randy White. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Rosaria White; grandson, Earl White; granddaughter, Jodi White; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be from 5 pm to 7 pm, on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield and from 10 am to 11 am, on Monday, at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, 1421 New Rd, in Northfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am, on Monday. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
