Margaret L.  Wilson
Margaret L. Wilson passed away on March 1, 2018. Margaret was born February 17, 1944 in Dillon, South Carolina to the late James Miles and Eliza (Crawford) Miles. Margaret attended Columbus High School in Lakeview, South Carolina where she graduated Salutatorian. After graduating High school she came to Pleasantville NJ, where she began to build her life. Margaret worked various jobs including being employed at Bally’s Hotel & Casino for 21 ½ years as a Seamstress, where she retired. Margaret took pride in being a mother and enjoyed the time and great memories created while raising her children.

Margaret was a great asset to the community and involved in a number of organizations where she was a leader and strived to make a positive change. Margaret was the President of the Pleasantville Schools District Advisory Council for Title I for 13 years. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church since 1998 where she was Superintendent of Sunday School for over 10 years, and a member of the Missionary Women’s Group. In addition, she assisted with leading Bible Study for many years, which she really enjoyed and looked forward to weekly. Margaret took pleasure in assisting fellow seniors as well as children, whenever she was needed. Margaret also enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for the family, shopping, and planning birthday parties.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memories her three children whom she loved dearly, Leo Harvey Jr. (Tyeisha), Theressa Council (Billy) and James Harvey all of Pleasantville NJ, her sister Aline Williamson of Patterson ,NJ, stepdaughters Warlinda Ward of North Carolina, Lafray Jones of Maryland, and stepson James Overton of Florida. Margaret also leaves two special grandchildren, Latisha Harvey and Anthony Glaze, Jr., whom she had an extremely close and special bond with. Margaret also leaves to cherish her memory two special friends Patricia Ayo and Mary Washington who were very dear to heart.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband the late Pastor Walter G. Wilson, her son, Lamont Wilson, siblings James, Willie, J.B, and Thomas, Helen, Irene, Maybell, and JessieBell, and grandson Scotty.

Margaret will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. She was a giving and loving person, who was very dependable and always there when you needed her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2018 from 9-11am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 353 S. New Road in Pleasantville. A funeral service will begin at 11am at the church. Burial will be held at Atlantic City Cemetery in Pleasantville.
