Obituary for Anne Marie Kellerman
Anne Marie Kellerman, (nee Van Dyke), 86, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Meadowview Nursing Home. Born June 9, 1931 in Atlantic City to Clifton H. and Anna Van Dyke.
Anne Marie attended Atlantic City public schools and graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1949, and then Glassboro State College in 1953 majoring in Elementary Education.
She began her career teaching Kindergarten in Brigantine Public Schools, and she later taught third grade for many years at Atlantic Christian School. All of her life she had a passion for working with children, including her own children and grandchildren.
Anne Marie was a member of Chelsea Baptist Church in her early years where she came to know the Lord. She was later a member of Linwood Community Church for 45 years assisting the Church’s mission and “Young at Heart” programs. She was also a member of the Faselo Christian Women’s Club for many years where she had many life-long friends.
Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Donald R. Kellerman. She is survived by her son, Donald V. Kellerman and his wife Sandra of Somers Point; daughter, Lynn Anne Kellerman of Northfield and daughter, Lois Foley and her husband, Patrick of Kendall Park. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 am. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Pleasantville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne Marie’s memory may be made to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, 2009 Bacharach Boulevard, P O Box 5358, Atlantic City, NJ 08404.
