Ruth  Walker (Brill)
Ruth B. Walker passed away on March, 14th 2018 at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, NY where she resided since 2016. She was 97. Prior to moving to Poughkeepsie she was a long time resident of Egg Harbor Twp.

Ruth was born in 1920 in Camden to parents Anna and Louis Brill. She married William A Walker Jr. in 1942. Bill predeceased her in 1995 after 52 years of marriage.

Ruth was a legal secretary. When she lived in Egg Harbor Twp., she was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Somers Point where she participated in many activities. She was also member of the Ranch Hope Auxiliary. Ruth was family orientated and loved to attend family events. Ruth enjoyed crossword puzzles and word games and had a passion for Scrabble which she played weekly with friends for years.

Ruth is survived by her son William A. Walker, his wife Paula and daughter Barbara J. Walker, all of Poughkeepsie. In addition, granddaughters Susan (David) Jayner and Jennifer (Kevin) Markett, great- grandsons Cameron and Grady Markett, cousin Meryl Dugent, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ruth was predeceased by brothers, Edwin and Warren Brill, and step brother Warren Meyers.

A Visitation will be at Grace Lutheran Church, 11 E. Dawes Ave in Somers Point, on Friday March 23 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Pennsauken.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations to Grace Lutheran Church, 11 E. Dawes Ave, Somers Pt., NJ, 08244.
