Anita Gloria Adams, 89, of Atlantic City, NJ passed away on November 13th, 2015 after a brief illness. Anita "Sissie" Adams was the daughter of
the late Luis and Freda Milan. Anita was born in 1925 in Philadelphia, PA. She lived inPleasantville, NJ briefly, then moved to Atlantic City,
where she remained a long time area resident. Anita completed her nursing education in 1961. She worked at various Atlantic County nursing facilities and provided private duty care for years. Her vast experience brought her to the Eastern Pines Convalescent Center and she continued working there until her retirement in 1998.

Anita is survived by her children, Gloria Dato of CA, Orlando Headley Dato III of Nevada and Bernardette Wilson (Adams) of Atlantic City. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tannan Wilson, Tiffany Milan, Derek Dato, Kimberly White, Yolanda Sadler, great-granddaughters Sonedea Viviani Milan and Kiori Gibbons, Carlos, Leila, Jayda, Christopher, nieces Barbara Long, Freda Willis and a host of nephews and cousins. Anita was affectionately known as "Sissie" and "Nurse Adams."

She was an avid newspaper reader, who loved solving crossword puzzles andwatching classic films. Anita also enjoyed crafting, crocheting, traveling, bowling with St. Monica's Bowling League, and listening to country music. The family cannot begin to express their sadness for the loss of our loved one and the joy her presence brought to all of our lives. Anita will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday November 21st at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home at 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00. The Sermon will be delivered by Dr Reverend John W Howard. Burial will be held at the Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, NJ.
