Obituary for Theresa M Mazzone

Mazzone, Theresa M., 65 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on October 6, 2015 at the AtlantiCare Hospital in Galloway. She was born in Atlantic City where she then attended school at St. Michael’s in Atlantic City, graduating in 1964. She then went to Holy Spirit High School, graduating in 1968. In October 1971, she married the love of her life, James Mazzone.

Theresa worked for Atlantic City Electric Co. from 1969 until 1975 when she left to become a full time mother. In 1984, she returned to the workforce at Prudential Ins. Co. in Linwood. She then worked in Medical Billing at AtlantiCare; and finally Shore Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2008 for health reasons.

She enjoyed traveling with her family and playing the slots at the casinos.

She is predeceased by her parents; Vincent and Matilda (Furfari) Venafro.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James. Her daughter, Maria and her husband, Matthew Stahl of Mechanicsburg, PA. Her son, James, Jr. and his wife,
Anne Marie of Williamstown, NJ. Her grandchildren, Samantha Mazzone, Marcus Stahl and Michael Stahl who are the light of her life. Her sister, Mildred (Venafro) Ruane and her husband, Michael Ruane of Mount Laurel, NJ. And her mother-in-law Augustta Mazzone of Atlantic City. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 9:30-11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue in Linwood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am at the Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in Mays Landing.
